Esther Chu

Esther Chu, age 89 years, of Gillette, NJ, died on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, Florham Park, NJ.

Born in Canton, China, January 28, 1921, she had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ until 2006 then in Wareham, MA.

She was a member of the former Clinton Baptist Church, Clinton, NJ.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Danny Chu, in 1996. A homemaker, she is survived by two daughters, Florence McGinn of Flemington, NJ and Nancy Bjerke of Honolulu, HI; two sons, Gregory Chu of Wareham, MA and John Chu of Gillette, NJ; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11:30 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
