Esther Lu Sine

Esther Lu Sine, aged 90, left this world on October 16th, 2019 under the care of Suncoast Hospice in Largo, Florida. The lover of travel and card games, was a longtime resident of Flemington since moving from Frenchtown where she was born on July 4th, 1929 to Arthur and Anna Beck. She resided with her late husband William Sine on Park Avenue in Flemington for over 40 years. She worked for Flemington National Bank as the Executive Secretary til her retirement after 25 years.

During her retirement, she was best known for her many walks with her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Pumpkin, all throughout town, and volunteering at various organizations like the Medical Center’s thrift shop. She moved to be closer to her daughter Patricia Higgins, who resides at Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, in 2016. She stayed there at Oak Manor of Largo til her passing. She enjoyed reading in the warm weather on her porch, card games with friends, and hustling the other “old folks” at Bingo.

Esther is predeceased by her brothers; Harvey Beck, Clarence Beck, and George Beck and her loving husband William Sine.

Esther is survived by her daughter Patti Higgins (Marshall); grandchildren Heather Baldwin and Scott Higgins; her son Michael Sine (Christine); grandchildren Jason Sine, Jessica Checcio, and Matt Sine and five great grandchildren.

There will be a private service and interment for family in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
