Ethel E. Hastings

Ethel E. Hastings, age 82 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Monday, December 8, 2008, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, NJ, August 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Rooney Van Marter. She had formerly resided in Readington Township, NJ.

She was employed for thirty years at RCA, Bridgewater Township, NJ until retiring.

She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ, and was an avid bowler and gardener.

A good friend and loving grandmother, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Martin Hastings, in 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Cvecich of Hopewell, NJ, and Jeannette Wengrzynek of Alexandria Township, NJ; a son, Martin Hastings of Harmony, NJ; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at 8:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7 PM until time of service in the funeral home.
