Ethel "Ej" Johnson Ruddy

Ethel Johnson Ruddy, known to family and friends as “EJ” died Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. She was fifty seven years old.

Born in Williamsport, PA on July 22, 1960, daughter of the late Bryon David and Leonia Nancy Cloughly Stuart, she formerly resided in Somerville, NJ and Williamsport, PA.

EJ was an Accountant for the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

She is pre-deceased by one sister, Lucille Stuart DiRico.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of thirty-four years Thomas Ruddy; her beloved daughter, Erin Ruddy of Washington, NJ; three sisters, Nancy Lutz of Charlottesville, VA, Jeannette Brelsford of Williamsport, PA, and Sarah Stuart of Williamsport, PA; and two brothers, Byron Stuart of Williamsport, PA and Bruce Stuart of Williamsport, PA. She is also survived by her large extended family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 3:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home at 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in EJ’s name may be made to the ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004. This chapter of the ALS Association was EJ’s clinic staff and ran her support group. All memorial contributions made in her name will go directly toward the purchase of new equipment for the ALS Association loan program.
