Ethel M. Kessler

Ethel M. Kessler, age 78 years, of Forks Township, PA, died Friday August 12, 2011, in Manor Care Center, Palmer Township, PA.

Born in Flemington, NJ, June 17, 1933, daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Dalrymple Sladden. She had resided in Flemington most of her life and resided in Forks Township since 2003.

She was a 1951 graduate of Flemington High School and was a member of the Flemington Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by John Saums Farm Equipment Sales and Service, later by Town and Country Bank and retired in 1995 from the Hunterdon County Clerks Office, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband Elmer Kessler died in 1987, and she was also pre-deceased by two brothers, John Sladden and William Sladden and two sisters, Ida Scheier and Louise Hall. Survivng are two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Schubert Eska and her husband James, Susan Rossi and her husband Jospeh; a son, John Kessler and his wife Valerie; five grandchildren, Brenton and Connor Eska, Michael and Maria Rossi and Matthew Kessler. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
