Eugene Sargent

Eugene Sargent, age 86 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Stroudsburg, PA, September 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Andrew and Amelia Sargent.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ.

He was formerly employed on many local farms and then worked at the Spice Factory and Bemis Bag Corporation in Flemington, NJ, and then at the Hillsborough Country Club golf course.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Mary Commarata Sargent; a daughter, Maryann Woodhull, of Alexandria Township, NJ; a sister, Gladys Coolbaugh; a brother, George Sargent; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 5 PM in the the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
