Evelyn D. Brown

Evelyn D. Brown, age 93 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Monday, December 30, 2013 at her home.

Born in Exeter Township, PA, September 3, 1920, daughter of the late William H. and Bertha R. Leffler Dietrich, she had resided in Hunterdon County for sixty-three years.

Evelyn was formerly employed by RCA; Lipton Corp.; Visiting Health Care Services; and lastly was a bookkeeper for Brown's Auto Body, Quakertown, NJ.

She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church; the Order of the Eastern Star of W. Pittston, PA; the Readington Township Senior Citizens; and the Spicey Seniors Bowling League, Frenchtown, NJ.

Her husband, Henry Brown, died in 1987 and she was also pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Henry W. and Emily Gonzales Brown of Kingwood Township, NJ, Donald and Stella Creed Brown of Kingwood Township, NJ, James L. Brown of Flemington, NJ, and Fred W. and Pamela Becker Brown of Pittstown, NJ; eleven grandchildren, Donn Brown, Sandy Brown, Henry Brown, Wade Brown, G. Cory Paieda, Eric Brown, Patrick Brown, James Brown, Scott Brown, Sarah Brown and Lauren Brown; seven great grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Kailey A. Paieda, Jake Brown, Noah Brown, Jack Brown, Francesca M. Brown and G. Cory Paieda, Jr.; and one great-great grandchild, Joel Welch.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the church.
