Evelyn Huber

Evelyn E. Huber, age 99 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at her home.

Born in Flemington, NJ, March 31, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Anna Frantz Huber. She had formerly resided in Westwood, NJ.

She was a retired school guidance counselor for Bergen County schools and also taught at Bergen County Community College. She retired in 1976.

She was a graduate of Rider College, received her masters from Montclair State, and studied further at Columbia University, Puerto Rico International, and Boston University.

She was a member of the NJEA, the NEA, the Bergen County Guidance Assocaition, and the Northern Valley Education Association in Demarest, NJ.

A 1929 graduate of Flemington High School, she is survived by a sister, Harriet Huber of Easton, PA; a nephew, LeRoy Stryker; a niece, Evelyn LaMaire; and her faithful dog and companion "Chipe".

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
