Fannie L. Charles, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ,
Born in Raritan Township, NJ, August 30, 1922, daughter of the late Charles B. and Mattie Housel LaRue, she had resided in Raritan Township most of her life (sixty-eight) years and had resided in Flemington, NJ for thirteen years previously.
A 1941 graduate of Flemington High School, she was formerly employed by Baker's Variety Store, Flemington, NJ then with American Machine & Foundry Co. and was the Head Bookkeeper at Flemington National Bank & Trust Co. 1962-1977 when she retired.
In addition to her love of her yard and flowers, Fannie was a life-long cat lover.
Her husband of fifty-eight years, Robert E. Charles, died in 1998.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. Charles, Jr. of Ringoes, NJ and his former wife, Barbara Charles of Croton, NJ; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Charles of Falls Church, VA; two grandchildren, Robert E. Charles III of Ringoes, NJ and Scott A. Charles of Allentown, PA; and two great grandchildren, Patrick Charles and Thomas Charles, both of Ringoes, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ.
