Florence Croasdale

Florence Croasdale, age 85 years, of the Sand Brook section of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Friday, January 16, 2009 in Helene Fuld Hospital, Trenton, NJ.

Born in Sand Brook, NJ, September 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Grocek Zentek. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware Township, NJ.

A communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, Florence loved living in her home in Delaware Township where she had many friends and great neighbors.

Florence was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothes for her family. She had formerly worked for the Leather Maple Co., Rosemont, NJ.

Her husband, John, with whom she loved to travel all across the United States, died in 1995. Florence was also pre-deceased by a sister, Helen Harvey and three brothers, Thaddeus, Edward, and Boleslaw "Ben" Zentek.

Surviving are her twin sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Russ Spinks of Layton, NJ; a sister, Stella Zorella of Delaware Township, NJ; a sister, Jennie Filippello of Ringoes, NJ; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Zentek of Sayerville, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews whom she loved very much.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
