Fouad Ghali Abdelshaheed, age 94 years, died on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at St. Clare’s Hospital – Dover General, Dover, NJ.
Born in Alexandria, Egypt, November 21, 1928, he was the son of the late Ghali Abdelshaheed. He spent most of his life in Egypt before immigrating to Italy, Canada, and finally the United States.
He was formerly employed as the head inspector of the Bank of Egypt for over thirty years, until his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed travelling throughout Europe, including Germany. He also enjoyed playing backgammon and storytelling. Above all, he will be remembered as someone who was always by his family’s side.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Anise Ghali, his wife, Nadia Antoun, as well as his four siblings.
Surviving are his son, Nader F. Ghali (Alicia), three grandchildren, Eric, Nadia, and Alyce; four great-grandchildren, Annisa, Travis, Jared, and Penelope; his nephews and niece, Fouad Ghali, Wafaa Wassef, Hani Wassef, and Nahid Anis Ghali; as well as his brother-in-law, Nasser Antoun Hanella.
Funeral services, officiated by Fr. Michael C. Saharic, will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hour will be 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home. Graveside committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
