Frances A. Whitehead, age 76 years, of Oxford, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Manville, NJ, June 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Slimko Peltack. She had previously resided in Clinton, NJ, and Gillette, PA.
She was a former school bus driver for North Hunterdon Regional High School, and later worked as a clerk typist at the Hunterdon Developmental Center, Clinton, NJ.
She was a Communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Washington, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-eight years, Stanley Whitehead; four sons, Robert A. of Clinton, NJ, Kenneth of Vienna, NJ, David of Great Meadows, NJ, and Stanley E. of Bethlehem, PA; three sisters, Lillian Switka of Toms River, NJ, Pearl Dinunzi of East Allen, PA, and Dorothy Salvatore of Manville, NJ; ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Washington, NJ. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Clinton, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Saturday from 8-9:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
