Frances M. Hedin

Frances M. Hedin, age 85 years, of New York City, NY, died on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Lakeview Nursing Center, Wayne, NJ.

Born in San Francisco, CA, December 30, 1920, daughter of the late James and Estelle Crabtree McDade, she had resided in New York City forty years.

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, she was first an Assistant to the Dean of Stanford University and then was employed by the United States State Department for twenty years.

Mrs. Hedin went on to become an interior decorator and later a real estate agent in New York City. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club of New York City.

Her husband, Gordon Hedin, died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Anne Thompson of Pepack, NJ; a son, Mark Hedin of Alameda, CA; a brother, James McDade of Joshua Tree, CA; and three grandchildren.

Interment will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
