Frances P. Passerello

Frances P. Passerello, age 90 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Monday, April 27, 2009 at her residence.

Born in Cherryville, NJ, July 6, 1918, daughter of the late Theodore and Grace Martin Peters, she was a lifelong resident of the family farm in Franklin Township, NJ.

A 1938 graduate of Flemington High School, Mrs. Passerello, along with her late husband, Nunzio, owned and operated the Passerello Farm in Franklin Township for many years.

She was formerly involved with the Hunterdon County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was also instrumental, along with many other area residents, in helping to fundraise for the original construction of the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Her husband of over fifty years, Nunzio "Babe" Passerello, died in 2002.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Mary Passerello of Franklin Township, NJ; a daughter, Judy Winfield of Lebanon Township, NJ; and three grandchildren, Teresa Schultz of Pittstown, NJ, and Jesse and Ryan Winfield, both of Flemington, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Grandin, NJ.
