Francis X. Gilbride, Jr.

Francis X. Gilbride, Jr., age 72 years, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at his home.

Born in Scranton, PA, April 9, 1950, he was the son of Louise (Sosong) Gilbride and the late Francis X. Gilbride, Sr. He had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ and Delaware Township, NJ prior to moving to Holland Township, NJ sixteen years ago.

He worked for forty-five years as an R & D Lab Technician eventually retiring from Breen Color in 2012.

He was a life-long member of the National Rifle Association and an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, which was his outlet of freedom in life. In addition, when his children were young, he enjoyed taking them on trips to the Land of Make Believe in Hope, NJ.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy A. Gilbride.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of thirty-eight years, Janice (Mohring) Gilbride, of Holland Township, NJ; his four children, Francis X. Gilbride, III (Michelle) of Harrisburg, PA, Aaron J. Gilbride (Jaime) also of Harrisburg, PA, Samantha M. Mitchell (John) of Rockwood, TN, C.J. Mitchell (Ashley) of Farmington, WV; and eight grandchildren: Kayla, Kody, Rowan, Tyler, Lauren, Kaden, Faith, and Alex.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be time for a visitation with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, folks are urged to donate to a cancer research charity of their choice.
