Frank A. D'Elio

December 8, 1947 — July 27, 2020

Frank A. D’Elio, 72, of Brooklyn, New York passed on July 27th, 2020.

~Beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, "Pa", and Friend. Avid Hunter, Fisherman, Gun Enthusiast and Lover of the Outdoors~

He is survived by his three children, Melissa Becker, Nicole Ampuero and Craig D’Elio; sister, Janet Andrews, four grandchildren and his beagle, Lucy.

Frankie was born in Brooklyn, New York and though he was a staple to his neighborhood for generations, his heart lay in the great outdoors of Livingston, Montana; where everyone who knew him had at least one memory of his tales and adventures through Big Sky Country.

Quiet and reserved outwardly, his knack for busting chops and pushing buttons was uncanny. So much so, that phrases such as “is that right” and “friggin” cannot be said without hearing his voice. Inwardly, he was the kindest, gentlest bear who always made everyone around him better and stronger by his mere presence.

It is said that the greatest thing a parent can leave their children is a life full of good memories. Frankie will be remembered forever by his family and so many others for backyard camp outs, sledding adventures, fishing trips, Halloween pranks, late night beagle walks, practical jokes, hunting adventures and so much more.

He loved his dogs like children and loved his children and grandchildren with the upmost pride.

A man of few words, with the heart of a giant. He will be missed and loved fiercely for eternity.

An outdoor visitation will take place on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 6:30-8:00 PM under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
