Frank E. Reasoner, age 74, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home in Milford, NJ. He lived in the Milford area nearly all of his life.
Born March 12, 1947, in Somerville, NJ, Frank was the son of the late Douglas Reasoner and Florence (Fishler) Reasoner Thatcher. After graduation from Hunterdon Central Regional High School with the Class of 1966, he did his basic training in Fort Dix NJ and then served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. His tour of duty took him to the Demilitarized Zone in Korea during the Vietnam War.
After the Army, Frank worked in the production factories of Riegel Paper Mill in Milford, NJ, then on to Tekni-Plex in Somerville and Flemington, NJ. After retiring, he worked for Milford Borough Department of Water and Utilities, Milford for many years.
Frank loved fishing the Delaware River, doing some gardening, and tinkering with things to see what made them work. He was a gentleman with a kind soul, always soft words, and a generous heart. He was very highly thought of, known for his straight and level thinking, great sense of humor and soft spoken words. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Connie Reasoner Neidlinger, of Flemington, NJ, and Carol Iannucelli and her husband John, of Sebastian, FL; his nephews, Douglas Frank Lopshire of Phillipsburg NJ, and Robert M. Lopshire and wife Catherine Murray Lopshire, of Frenchtown NJ; his nieces, Jessica Lenny, of Sellersville, PA and Jennifer Preston and her husband, Chris Preston, of Doylestown, PA; his grand niece, Cassie Beth Hamrick, of Philadelphia, PA and grand nephew, Joey Hamrick, of Doylestown, PA; as well as many aunts and many loved cousins that shared his days growing up in Flemington. Additionally, he lived with long-time companion, Shirley Hartpence, until her passing in 2020.
