Frank H. Scheier, Sr., age 82 years, of Lebanon Township, NJ, died on Friday, November 4, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Flemington, NJ, May 7, 1923, he was the son of the late Steven and Mary Simon Scheier. He had formerly resided in Clinton Township, NJ.
He was a Body and Fender Technician, and then was Chief of Maintenance at the Hunterdon Hills Residential Health Care Facility, Lebanon Township, NJ. He was also a flagman at the Flemington Speedway for many years.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was a 1940 graduate of Flemington High School.
He was a member of the Hunterdon Harmonizers, the Flemington VFW Post # 7856, and the Annandale Hose Company, Annandale, NJ.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Green Scheier; three sons, Barry Scheier and Frank Scheier, Jr., both of Lebanon Township, NJ, and Thomas Scheier of Lehighton, PA; a daughter, Judy Griswold, of Elko, NV; two sisters, Mary Rolland of Newark, NJ, and Anne Paieda of Raritan Township, NJ; two brothers, William Scheier of Boston, MA, and Michael Scheier of Raritan Township, NJ; eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
