Frank J. Catanio, age 88 years, of Port Saint Lucie, FL, died on Thursday, January 21, 2010, in Treasure Coast/Saint Lucie Hospice, Ft. Pierce, FL.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, November 1, 1921, he was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Catanio. He had formerly resided in Three Bridges, NJ.
He was a graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a retired self-employed plumbing and heating contractor with Frank Catanio and Son, Three Bridges, NJ.
Mr. Catanio was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, the Three Bridges Volunteer Volunteer Fire Department, the Whitehouse American Legion Post, and the VFW Post.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Ray Catanio and Ed Catanio, and three sisters, Norma Burdge, Elinor Smigelski, and Grace Cabillonar. Surviving are his wife of sixty-six years, Helen Lane Catanio; two sons, Jack Catanio of Clover Hill, NJ and David Catanio of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two daughters, Jill Kelly of New York City, NY, and Patricia Catanio of Hillsboro, NC; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will be in Three Bridges Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
