Frank Joseph Dufek, 84 and long time resident of Alexandria Township, NJ and Bequia, St.Vincent and the Grenadines, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 in Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born to Mary Hornick and Frank Dufek from Hillside, NJ on April 30, 1928. He was a Business Graduate of Seton Hall University in 1952 and served in the US Army from 1946-1948 where he was stationed in Japan.

Frank married Jean Audrey Nitschke from Kenilworth, NJ on January 21, 1956. Together they had three children, all whom survive him; Donna Dufek Durling and her fiance John C. Chigounis of Pittstown, NJ, Frank J. Dufek and his wife Suzie Geibel Dufek, of Milford, NJ and Joan Dufek Bolen and her husband, Brian Bolen of Brick, NJ.

Frank was a proud Grandfather of his six grandchildren, Dean Chapman Durling and Jonathan Durling both residing in Whitehouse, NJ, Ngaere Durling residing in Manhattan, NY, and Kyley Dufek, James Dufek, and Kristen Dufek all living in Milford, NJ. Also surviving are his brother, Robert Dufek and his wife Mary Dufek of Bedminster, NJ and his sister, Doris Dufek of Hillside, NJ.

He founded Dufek Incorporated, a successful Plumbing and Mechanical concern based in Kenilworth, NJ.

Frank lived a long, rich and family centered life. He enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. In search of his Shangrala, Frank finally settled on the island of Bequia where he shared his love for the sun, sea and dancing with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, January 5, 2012 at Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home.
