Franklin M. Miller

Franklin M. Miller, age 89 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died on Thursday, January 13, 2011, in the Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.

Born in East Amwell Township, NJ, August 19, 1921, he was the son of the late Lewis and Ethel Mae Fisher Miller.

He retired from Johanna Foods, Raritan Township, NJ, and enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, and training his hunting dogs.

Mr. Miller was a longtime member and Past Chief of the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Charlotte Culberson Miller, his siblings Dora Miller Wiseburn, Harold Lester Miller, Delbert Raymond Miller, Mildred Miller Haines, and Thomas Miller and by his son Raymond M. Miller.

Surviving are seven grandchildren: Bryan S. Miller of Utah, Christopher S. Miller of Flemington, Jennifer S. Marrero of Sergeantsville, Robert Miller, Linda Miller, Donna Miller, and George Miller; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his brothers Alton Miller and Eugene Miller; his sisters, Grace Bowlby, Helen Godlewski and Marie Shipp; and his long-time companion Thelma Kentnor.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
