Fred Dellanno, age 69, of Somerset NJ, went to be united with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2021 in the comfort of his home.
He was born on September 19, 1951 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late Rose (Ilaria) and Thomas Dellanno.
Fred grew up in Long Branch, NJ and received his master’s degree from Monmouth University. He then moved to Somerset, NJ to pursue his career in finance at AT&T.
A loving husband and devoted father, he made everyone he met feel like a friend. Growing up, he enjoyed swimming, playing football, and spending time with his family. Fred took pride in his faith. He served as President of the St. Ann Parish Holy Name Society from 2014-2018 and was a current member. He enjoyed going to Monmouth Racetrack to watch horse racing, going to New York Giants games with his daughter, brother, and brother-in-law, and watching TV with his granddog, Jameson.
He will be remembered as a man of faith and commitment, with an infectious smile, and a witty sense of humor, compassion and humility.
Fred was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Dellanno. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann, his daughter, Christina Dellanno, of Somerset, NJ, his brother, Vincent (partner Cathy) Dellanno of Old Bridge, NJ, his sister, Rachelle (Steve) Pieklo of Millstone Township, NJ, his sister-in-law, Joanne Dellanno of Tinton Falls NJ, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 19th at 4:00 pm at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 45 Anderson St, Raritan, NJ 08869. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822. Burial will be private in Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, NJ.
