Fred Hoth, Jr., age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, August 20, 2009 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Hoboken, NJ, September 3, 1924, son of the late Fred and Lillian Wilson Hoth, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1970.
A United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Hoth was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal after serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a Draftsman and Designer for many years with RCA, Bridgewater, NJ and was noted for his design work on the original 8088 computer chip.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Florence Edith Braemer Hoth; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred Hoth, III and Susan Hoth of Middlesex, NJ; a brother, Richard Hoth of Highlands, NJ; and a sister, Muriel Eyskens of Hazlet, NJ.
Another sister, Dottie Neugabauer, died earlier.
