Frederick A. Gobillot, Sr.

Frederick A. Gobillot, Sr., age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at his residence.

Born in Sharon, CT, December 31, 1934, son of the late Frederick and Mary Connolly Gobillot, he had formerly resided in Plainfield, NJ before moving to Raritan Township thirty-seven years ago.

A graduate of Villanova University, Mr. Gobillot was a sales manager for Hallmark Cards, Kansas City, Missouri, retiring in 1996.

He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, where he also volunteered as a gardner. Mr. Gobillot was a supporter and volunteer for the Flemington Food Pantry and was a driver for Hunterdon County Meals on Wheels.

His wife, Jeannie Tatsapaugh Gobillot, also died on October 6, 2004. Surviving are two sons, Frederick A. Gobillot, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC and Theodore D. Gobillot of Houston, TX; four daughters, Christine Gobillot of Tinton Falls, NJ, Aline Paskalides of Saratoga Springs, NY, Jeannette Solomon of Stockton, NJ and Julie Messa of Denver, CO; a sister, Catherine Gobillot in CT; and fifteen grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
