Frederick A. Koval, Jr., age 73 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Friday, June 16, 2006, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Chicago, IL, November 6, 1932, he was the son of the late Frederick and Louise Zahner Koval, Sr. He had formerly resided in Plainfield, NJ, and Dunellen, NJ.
He was employed by Bill's Auto Center, Flemington, NJ.
He was retired from the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of the Dunellen Fire Department Exempt Fireman's Association, the Lionel Collectors Club, and the Lionel Operating Train Society.
He is survived by two daughters; Karen Koval of Andover, NJ, and Cheryl Collins of Raritan, NJ; five sons, William Koval of Neshanic, NJ, Frederick Koval III of Toms River, NJ, David Koval of Middlesex, NJ, Michael Koval of Los Angeles, CA, and Jay Koval of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, John Koval of Etowah, NC; a sister, Louise Morandi of Portland, OR; his companion, Maybell Nief of Flemington, NJ, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
