Gail Alexander

Gail Alexander, age 67 years, of New Brunswick, NJ, died Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, January 29, 1948, daughter of the late John and Lillian Lang Alexander, she had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ, and had resided in New Brunswick, NJ, over twenty-three years.

Gail was Senior Associate For External Affairs at Rutgers University for over ten years and formerly held various positions in the office of former NJ Assemblyman and Congressman Richard Zimmer. She was also formerly Director of Legislative Affairs for former NJ Gov. Christie Whitman.

Gail is survived by a daughter, Deidre Knee of Scottsdale, AZ.; a sister, Carol Pietz of Secaucus, NJ; a niece and a nephew.

Cremation services will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to Brigantine Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic-Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, NJ 08203.
