Genevieve D. Rotunno

Genevieve D. Rotunno, age 88 years, of Pennington, NJ, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Center, Lawrenceville, NJ.

Born in Hazleton, PA, October 23, 1928, daughter of the late Pasquale and Carmella Angelillo Polumbo, she had formerly resided in Murray Hill, NJ and Elizabeth, NJ.

A 1946 Hazleton High School graduate, Genevieve began working as a Registered Nurse at Hazleton State General Hospital in 1949. She also worked at Overlook Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital before retiring in 1995.

In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by five siblings, Eleanor Lee, Josephine Grotovsky, Clara Madore, Anthony Cioccio and Anna D’ alberto.

Surviving are her loving husband of sixty-one years, William J. Rotunno; one brother, Louis Polumbo of Beaver Meadows, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marianne and John Gallina of Flemington, NJ and Monica and Rob Kuhlmann of Cincinnati, OH; one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Beryl Rotunno of Lebanon Township, NJ and five grandchildren, Michael Rotunno, Matthew Kuhlmann, Maria Kuhlmann, Giovanna Gallina and Miranda Gallina.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Antony Arockiadoss will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen de Pazzi Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Genevieve’s name may be made to the Association of the Miraculous Medal, 1811 West St. Joseph Street, Perryville, MO 63775.
