Genive Hillary Schenck Passerello, age 92 years, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died on Monday, March 12, 2007 at the residence of her son in Williamstown, NJ.
Born in Flemington, NJ, November 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Schenck and Julia Snyder Schenck Johnson. She grew up in Flemington, NJ and resided there until 1934 when she moved to Whitehouse Station, NJ, and had lived there ever since.
A Homemaker, she was a 1933 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station, NJ for many years. Additionally, she was involved with the Senior Group there as well as the Tewksbury Senior group.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Paserello, Sr. in 1984; her step-father, Arthur Johnson; sisters, Margie Bacorn and Gladys Girardo; step-brothers, Harry and Joseph Johnson; granddaughters, Susan Johnson Kullman and Cynthia Passerello Riehl; and grandson, Howard Johnson, Jr.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas A. Passerello, Jr. and Barbara Passerello of Williamstown, NJ and Arthur and Dolores Passerello of Bridgewater, NJ; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Shew of Coco, FL and Carol and Steve Balik of Flemington, NJ; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas and Dana Passerello, Michael and Denise Passerello, Jeffrey and Kathy Passerello, Nicole and Mark Collins, Gena and Mark Amechi, Steven and Cindy Balik, Jr., Amy and Mark Hurban, Jennifer Passerello, Richard Stanton and Kerri Lee Edwards; twenty-five great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Raritan, NJ. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6-9 p.m. as well as Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
