George A. Bartels

George A. Bartels, age 62 years, of Tinicum Township, PA, formerly of Readington Township, NJ, died on Monday, June 18, 2007 at his residence.

Born in Glen Cove, NY, April 2, 1945, he was the son of Dorothea Wolfram Bartels of Poquoson, VA, and the late Henry Bartels.

He was a graduate of Penn State University, and received his Masters in Chemical Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic. He was employed by Pfizer Chemical until 1985, then formed his own company, Medical Packaging Inc., in Ringoes, NJ where he was President/CEO until 2006, when he became Chairman of the Board.

He was active in the Boy Scouts of America.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Christine Bartels of New York City, NY; a son, Andrew Bartels, of Kingwood Township, NJ; three brothers, Frederick Bartels of Newport News, VA, Henry Bartels of Uniondale, NY, and Richard Bartels of South Carolina; and a sister, Elizabeth Bennett of Poquoson, VA.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
