George A. Nelsen

George A. Nelsen, age 84 years, of Tewksbury Township, NJ, died on Monday, October 7, 2013, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Atlanta, GA, June 5, 1929, he was the son of the late George A. and Dorothy Ward Nelsen.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired draftsman.

He was a member and longtime supporter of the oldest BSA Troop in the country, Boy Scout Troop 20, Brooklyn, NY.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Marion Tharaldsen Nelsen; a daughter, Barbara Gross, of Warren, NJ; two sons, Robert Nelsen of Baltimore, MD, and Peter Nelsen of Pittstown, NJ; and four grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11 AM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America Troop 20, 1827 84th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11214.
