George Beberman, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ where he had resided for the past two years.
Born in Poland, May 14, 1917, he had formerly resided in Cranford, NJ, then for many years in Margate, FL, before moving to Raritan Township three years ago.
A businessman, he owned and operated a variety store in Rahway, NJ until retiring in 1972.
His wife, Anna Burg Beberman, died in 1998.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Enid and Carl Ullmann of Bethlehem, PA, Suzanne Lonky of Gettysburg, PA and Melanie and Jack Atkins of Short Hills, NJ; a sister, Shirley Hamberger in Florida; two brothers, Louis Beberman of Riverdale, NY and Lester Beberman of Long Island, NY; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sharey Tefilo Israel Temple, 432 Scotland Road, South Orange, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ (please call or visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information). Interment will be in Star of David Memorial Gardens, North Lauderdale, FL. There will be no calling hours.
