George C. Smith, age 93 years, of Bethlehem, PA, died on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in St. Lukes Outpatient Hospice, Lower Saucon Township, PA.
Born in Norristown, PA, January 14, 1917, son of the late Harland Cramer Smith and Ida May Tilghman Smith, he had resided in Bethlehem for the past four years, having formerly lived in Lambertville, NJ for many years as well as Pittstown, NJ.
Mr. Smith was a self-employed entrepreneur and sales executive. He was a member of Doylestown Lodge #425, F. & A. M., Doylestown, PA and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-eight years, Lillian Schuyler Smith; two sons, George T. Smith of Naples, FL and Richard Smith of Pinehurst, NC; two daughters, Karen E. Uyeda of Honolulu, HI and Leslie A. Smith of Montville, NJ; and Lillian’s children, William Crouse of Nokomis, FL and Bryant Crouse of Los Angeles, CA; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from Noon-1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ.
