George D. Harris, age 88 years, of Readington Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Glen Carbon, IL, May 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Evans Harris.

A United States Navy veteran, George was a retired Marketing Manager with AT&T. After retiring, he made his list of friends to visit and special fishing places to explore and off he went. Between his travels he could be found in his workshop fixing a broken toy or building a new piece of furniture. He had resided in Readington Township, NJ, since 1974.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Delores Kirsch Harris; four sons and their spouses: Daniel (and Jan), David (and Doreen), Michael, and Stephen (and Beverly); along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 11:30 AM in the Readington Reformed Church at 124 Readington Road, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Memorials may be made to the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation, 9100 Wescott Dr, Flemington, NJ 08822 and directed to the Cardiology Department.
