George E. Fenwick, Jr., age 51 years, of Hillsborough Township, NJ, died on February 26, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Princeton, NJ, December 23, 1955, he was the son of Marian Hulse Fenwick of Hillsborough, NJ, and the late George E. Fenwick, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough Township.
An accredited nurseryman, he was a graduate of Penn Technical College, Williamsport, PA. He was last employed by Home Depot, Flemington, NJ, as a John Deere salesperson. He was President of Kimberwyck 2 Condo Association; Chair of the Tree Mitigation Commission of Hillsborough Township; member of the Hillsborough Environmental Commission and also the Hillsborough Charter Study Commission. Active in the Hillsborough Republican Club, he was a district committeeman from Hillsborough on the Somerset County Republican Committee. For years, Mr. Fenwick was active in the Explorer/Sea Scouts and Pop Warner Football where he played for the Little Dukes.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife , Janet McMullen Fenwick; a son, George E. Fenwick III, and a daughter, Erin Marie Fenwick, all at home; and three sisters, Robin F. Bernard and Marian Fenwick-Freeman of Hillsborough, NJ, and Karen Fenwick Zitz in Virginia.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Clover Hill Reformed Church, Clover Hill, NJ. Interment will be in Neshanic Cemetery, Neshanic, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
