George E. Miller

George E. Miller, age 82 years, of Southampton, PA, died on Sunday, July 20, 2008, in Southampton Estates, Southampton, PA.

Born in Quakertown, NJ, September 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie Knieper Miller.

He was a retired self employed farmer. He was a former 4H Club leader, and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Quakertown, NJ, and the Oak Grove Grange, Pittstown, NJ. He had formerly served as the President of the Franklin Township Board of Education. He was a member of the Lahaska, PA United Methodist Church.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Marian Barrick, and a daughter, Lou Ann Adams. Surviving are his wife, Elsie Locke Miller; two sons, Robert G. Miller of New Britain, PA, and Glenn A. Miller of Birmingham, MI; a step-daughter, Betty Furan of Lambertville, NJ; a step-son, Carl Barrick of Harrisburg, PA; and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
