George H. Johnson

George H. Johnson, age 88 years, of Delaware Township, NJ died on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Delaware township, he was born in Sand Brook, NJ, April 11, 1916, son of the late Howard and Violet Housel Johnson.

A lifelong farmer, he was employed for sixty years on the C. Matthews Farm, Delaware Township and later by Henry H. Fisher Farms, Delaware Township. He was a sixty-six year member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, Sergeantsville, NJ.

Surviving are three brothers, Jacob Johnson, Horace Johnson and Grover Johnson, all of Delaware Township, NJ; two sisters, Mary Ringer of Ringoes, NJ and Julia Johnson of Hopewell, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, Sergeantsville, NJ. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
