George Henry Ritter, age 90 years, of Madison, NJ, died on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born September 6, 1922, son of the late Max and Babette Muller Ritter, he was a lifelong Madison, NJ area resident having grown up in Irvington, NJ.
A member of the American Legion, Madison, NJ, Mr. Ritter faithfully served his country during World War II serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps from which he was honorably discharged.
He originally worked as a tool and die maker for Artistic Engraving, Irvington, NJ and then went on to work as Sales Manager for System 3-R, Pine Brook, NJ until his retirement. He enjoyed antique collecting, especially collecting and fixing antique clocks.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Florence Braunlich Ritter and a brother, Paul Ritter.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, Lynn S. and Tom Degen of Chloe, WV, James E. and Karin Ritter of Sag Harbor, NY and Nancy E. and Bob Graef of Raritan Township, NJ; three grandchildren, Melanie, Sarah and Christopher; and one great grandson, Onakai.
