George J. Sabol, Sr.

George J. Sabol, Sr., age 94 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Larksville, PA, June 2, 1910, son of the late John and Appolina Yatsko Sabol, he had formerly resided in Linden, NJ and had resided in Raritan Township since 1973.

He was a machinist formerly employed by Hyatt Roller Bearing, Clark, NJ retiring in 1972. He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ and a member of the United Auto Workers Union, Clark, NJ.

His wife, Mary McCloskey Sabol, died in 1999.

Surviving are a son, George J. Sabol, Jr. of Raritan Township, NJ; three sisters, Dorothy Zolner of Larksville, PA, Alice Barber of Levittown, PA, and Mame Butcher in California; four grandchildren, George Sabol, Robert Sabol, Jeff Sabol and Kevin Sabol; and eleven great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 21 at 10 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
