George L. Field

George L. Field, age 94 years, died on Friday, January 2, 2009 in VNA Hospice of Monroe County, East Stroudsburg, PA.

Born in South Sterling, PA, June 8, 1914, he was the son of the late Edward Joseph and Charlotte Agnes Mead Field. He had formerly resided in Phillipsburg, NJ, Rocky Hill, NJ, Ringoes, NJ, Princeton, NJ and East Stroudsburg, PA for the past two years.

He was a retired truck driver for Kingston Trap Rock, Rocky Hill, NJ.

His wife, Lorraine Decker Field, died in 1995 and a son, Burton Field, died in 1972.

Surviving are his two granddaughters, Laura Felmly of Northampton, PA and Heather Field of Phillipsburg, NJ; a great-grandson, Bryan Felmly of Northampton, PA; a brother, Robert Field of East Stroudsburg, Pa and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Hummer of Lehighton, PA.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Wertsville, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
