George M. Becker, age 83 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Garfield, NJ, October 20, 1923, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Julia Peters Becker. He had resided in Raritan Township, NJ for the past fifty-five years.
He worked as Plant Foreman at Tenneco, Raritan Township, NJ before retiring. He was also Chief of Security at the Flemington Speedway. He served for many years as the Raritan Township Dog Warden.
He was a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge.
His wife of fifty years, Beverly Jones Becker, died in 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Pam Brown and Sandra Weiss, both of Alexandria Township, NJ; a son, George A. Becker, of Alexandria Township, NJ; his grandchildren: Jackie Krejdovski, Becky Weiss, Cory Paieda, Keith Weiss, Patrick Brown, Leanne Becker, Lindsey Becker, Scott Becker, and Collin Becker; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the funeral home, and on Monday from 10 AM until time of service.
