George Williamson, age 75 years, of the Pattenburg section of Union Township, NJ, died on Monday, February 27, 2006, at his home.
Born in Newark, NJ, May 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Nathaniel and Anna McMillan Williamson. He had formerly resided in Potterstown, NJ.
He was an organizer, member, and former president of Local #1651, Amalgamated and Textile Workers Union. He was formerly employed by Critikon Corporation, Raritan, NJ.
He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Edith "Dolly" Hodkinson Williamson; a son, Stephen Williamson, of Union Township, NJ; a daughter, Susan Freeman, of Union Township, NJ; two brothers, Dr. Andrew Williamson, D.V.M., of St. Thomas, USVI, and Rev. Robert Williamson, of Brea, CA; and a grandson, Rusty Freeman, of Union Township, NJ.
Funeral arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
