George Wilson Hoff, Jr.

George W. Hoff, Jr., age 82 years, of West Amwell Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ.

Born in Delaware Township, NJ, December 20, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Florence Hann Hoff, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ.

He was a United States Army and US Merchant Marine veteran and a member of the American Legion Post, Lambertville, NJ.

Mr. Hoff was a former Delaware Joint Toll Bridge Commission Officer, and retired from Goodall Rubber Company.

He was a member of the Hunterdon County Historical Society, and was a 32nd Degree Mason belonging to the Orpheus Lodge, F.& A.M., Stockton, NJ.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-nine years, Janet Burd Hoff; a daughter, Betzi Cahill of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; a brother, Frank Hoff of Pittstown, NJ; and two granddaughters, Kristina and Katherine Cahill.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
