Gerald P. Kennedy

Gerald P. Kennedy, Jr., age 87 years, formerly of Hunterdon County, NJ passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Ann's Choice Senior Living Community, Warminster, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Mary Tunny and Gerald P. Kennedy, Sr. As a young man, Mr. Kennedy served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1960 until he was honorably discharged. He then went on to become a senior engineer for the Western Electric Company. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and travelling all over Europe and throughout the United States. Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Dolores Kennedy, of Warminster, PA; his five children and their spouses, Gerald and Brenda Kennedy of New Jersey, John and Deborah Kennedy, of New York, Dolores and Gregor Van Pelt, of New Jersey, Kathleen and Carl Herrman, of New Jersey, and Sharon and Ciaran O’Brien, of New Jersey; In addition, he is survived by his eight grandchildren: Matthew Van Pelt, and his wife, Veronica, Gregor Van Pelt, Katherine Fennimore, and her husband John, Michael O’Brien, Mason Herrman, Elizabeth O’Brien, Rachel Herrman, and Kayla O’Brien; as well as one sister, Maureen Fanning, of Kentucky. There will be a service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:00AM under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Cremation services were private.
