Gladys J. Keiper

Gladys J. Keiper, age 97 years, of Alpha, NJ, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in the Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong Township, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 17, 1915, daughter of the late James and Alice Ruth Naylor Burns, she had formerly resided in Susquehanna, PA, for six years and had resided in Readington Township, NJ most of her life until moving to Alpha in 1994.

Gladys was a homemaker.

Her first husband, Pierson Kuhl, died in 1979 and her second husband, Hiram Keiper, died in 1994.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Martin and Linda Kuhl of Holland Township, NJ, and James Kuhl of Lopatcong Township, NJ; three step-daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Harold Hartrum, Bonnie and Albert Hartrum, and Tammy and Irv Angstadt; three grandsons and their wives, Todd and Tiffany Kuhl, Tim and Mary Kuhl, and Travis and Elisa Kuhl; and three great grandchildren, Samantha, Skylar and Addison Kuhl.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday 1:00-2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter, 576 Stamets Road, Milford, NJ 08848.
