Gladys K. Anderson

Tempe, AZ - Gladys K. Anderson, age 104 years, formerly of Ringoes, NJ, died on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Friendship Village Healthcare Center, Tempe, Arizona.

Born on May 23, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Strimple Kitchin.

She was a 1931 graduate of Flemington High School. She worked for the Flemington Auction Market and then Belle Mead Army Depot during WWII. She later worked for many years at Carver’s Auto Parts, Flemington, NJ.

She was a long time member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Sand Brook, NJ.

Her husband, Harold Anderson, died in 2008.

She was pre-deceased by two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hargis of Gilbert, AZ; two grandchildren, Amy Bennett of Gilbert, AZ, and Jeffrey Hargis of Grapevine, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Hailee Hargis, Matthew Bennett, and Ryan Bennett.

Graveside services will be private in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
