Gladys M. Omick, age 86, died Saturday, March 7, 2020, at her home in Kintnersville PA, surrounded by her family. She lived in Ringoes for more than sixty years before moving to Kintnersville six years ago.
Born February 7, 1934, in Upper Black Eddy PA, Gladys was the daughter of the late Howard and Emma (Hillpot) Singley.
Gladys was a long-time member of the Milford (NJ) United Church of Christ, and enjoyed helping the Amwell Valley Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
She was a very good bowler and enjoyed bowling with her late husband, Jim Omick, where the two were members of various bowling leagues for many years. Gladys also enjoyed watching game shows as well as culinary programs on television with her sister, Dolores. Gladys was a great cook and baker and she delighted in preparing treats for her family, especially her homemade apple pies and crab cakes.
Above all, Gladys loved spending time with her family and her smile will be missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, James M. Omick in 1998. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Singley, her niece and husband, Rebecca and Gary Greim Jr. of Kintnersville PA, her great nephews, Gary Greim III and his fiancé, Ashley of Coopersburg PA, her great-nephew and his wife, Jarrett and Lydia Greim of Riegelsville PA, her great-niece, Hailey Greim of Riegelsville PA, her Godson and his wife, James and Susan Moore, as well as her seven great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Interment will follow in Amwell Ridge Cemetery in Ringoes NJ. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
