Gloria Muscarello Bartolomeo, age 84 years, of Staten Island, NY, died on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, NY.
Born in New York City, NY, March 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Maria Grazia Muscarello. She had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY, Milford, PA, and Raritan Township, NJ.
She was a retired Assistant Manager with Macy's Kings Plaza, Brooklyn, NY. She enjoyed quiltting and was a seamstress.
She was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ and a member of it's Altar Rosary Society. She worked for the Hunterdon County Board of Elections after her retirement.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Paul Bartolomeo in 2006, her son Ralph Bartolomeo in 1992, and her brother Raymond Muscarello in 1956. Surviving are three daughters; Mary Barneby of Stamford, CT, Joan Bartolomeo of Brooklyn, NY, and Kathy Raborn of Raritan Township, NJ; three brothers; Carlo of Plantation, FL; Armando of New Windsor, NY, and Herbert of Seaford, NY; three sisters; Celia Carrano of Maspeth, NY, Nancy Albino of Delray Beach, FL, and Vera Liberatore of Delray Beach, FL; five grandchildren; and her beloved dog "Bridy".
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
