Glynis Sloan Hawke

Glynis Sloan Hawke, age 58 years, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on April 20, 2022, at her home.

Born in Alexandria, VA, March 31, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Kase) and William Bartles Hawke, Jr.

She was formerly employed as an English teacher.

Glynis loved the beach, riding horses, and especially loved her pet dogs, who were always by her side.

She is survived by her sister, Melissa Hawke Faherty and her husband Bill of Southport, NC; her niece and nephew, William Hawke Faherty and his wife, Jacqueline, and Glynis Rose Powell and her husband, Michael Powell; as well as her great niece and nephew: William Joseph and Lillian May.

A private graveside ceremony, officiated by Rev. Christopher Small, will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Prospect Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial, with her mother, in the family plot will follow the committal service.
