Grace B. Cronce

Grace B. Cronce, age 93 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Thursday, September 22, 2016, in Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Hillsborough Township, NJ, January 18, 1923, daughter of the late George W. and Harrietta Brewer Bateman, Grace had resided in Ringoes most of her life. A graduate of Flemington High School, she was formerly employed by Flemington Auction Market, then by Somerset Savings & Loan Association, Flemington, NJ until retiring. Grace was a member and deacon of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, NJ where she was active in the Westminster Ladies Guild and founder of the church's Keenager Senior Citizens Group. Grace was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes; Treasurer of the Runkle Family Association; member of the Col. Lowrey Chapter of the DAR, Whitehouse Station, NJ and was formerly an active quilter for many years. Her husband, P. Douglas Cronce, died in 2015 and a sister, Mildred Lambert, died in 2012. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Kaminski of Titusville, NJ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. P. Douglas and Roberta Cronce of Whitehall, PA, and Darryl and Nancy Cronce of Hillsborough, NJ; a sister, Ruth Melbourn of Ringoes, NJ; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
