Grace Gilliand Wyckoff, age 98 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, formerly of Cranbury, NJ, died on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at her residence.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, May 30, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. and Edelin Dennison Gilliand.
She was a graduate of New Jersey College For Women (now Rutgers University), and was formerly a secretary.
Mrs. Wyckoff was an active bridge player at the Hunterdon County Senior Services, and was an active volunteer over the years including volunteering with Friendly Visitors at the Clinton Reformatory, the League of Women Voters, various church groups, disadvantaged children tutoring, and Meals on Wheels.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, C. Rodney Wyckoff in 1984, and two brothers, Walter and Harry Gilliand. Surviving are a daughter, Joanne W. Whitney of Raritan Township, NJ; a son, Dennis R. Wyckoff of Providence, RI; five grandchildren: Phillip R. Wyckoff, Sara Wyckoff, Cheryl Whitney, Bryan Whitney, and Amy Ciardiello; and four great grandchildren: Skylar Bush, Ethan Peter Steiner, Francisco P. Wyckoff, and Daniel A. Steiner.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Bernards Township, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
